Uniondale, N.Y., professional services company, whose
software makes it possible for utilities such as PPL Corp. to provide
and bill customers for electricity from dozens of competitive energy
suppliers, has opened its first Pennsylvania office in downtown
Allentown.
To start, EC Infosystems will employ 10 workers, including many former PPL employees, on the second floor of the former Schoen's Furniture building in the 600 block of Hamilton Street. The office held its official opening on Tuesday.But President and CEO Mohan Wanchoo said the company hopes to expand the location. The growing privately held company has about 150 employees at three locations in New York and now an office in Allentown.
